Deal Extreme iPhone Cover

Having two kids, and our busy schedule, we want to protect our phones. So we have been looking at various covers for our iPhones. The attempt is to find low cost, working alternatives to the $20 silicone iPhone covers at Best Buy and Walmart.

So I ordered Robyn a new iPhone cover this past week from Deal Extreme. It shipped from Hong Kong and arrived today. The total cost was $2.08 with free shipping, which can take 6-10 days, since it is coming from Hong Kong. It's got a nicer/more solid feel to it than the silicone cover from Monoprice.com It also has an opening in the back to show off the Apple logo. It feels thicker than the monoprice version, and fit's very nicely. So far, this is the nicest one I have seen at such a low cost.

Sometimes we say things we don't mean to....

I do it all of the time. But tonight I heard one which was funny, and got me in trouble:

"You go to the Bathroom to brush your teeth, that is why they call it a bathroom!"

Now I'm in even more trouble, but come on it's funny :)

Alec, Daddy, and Glasses

So today Alec and I are laying in bed and have the following convo:

Alec> Daddy! Daddy glasses!
Daddy> Yes Alec, those are daddy's glasses.
Alec> Daddy's glasses, Daddy's glasses
Daddy> Yes these are daddy's glasses but you can't touch
Alec> DADDY! Where Alec Glasses?

So apparently at 2 1/2 years old he wants to be so much like me, he wants glasses already :)

Surrounded by Death it seems

I came in to work today, to find that someone within the company, was driving home last night, and passed away from a heart attack. As I'm in my 30's now, it really scares me. This person was not very old, and you seem to see this more often these days.
To add to this, the deaths are all we hear about on the news, and it seems like there is constantly someone near me that is facing death.

I suppose much of this has to do with the stress of our jobs, the economy, the frustrating traffic situations, and the normal stress of home life. I'm really looking forward to summer coming around and camping again to relieve some stress.

So here is to a continuance of the beautiful days we are having, and a quick move to Spring and Summer.
